Union County Neighbor to Neighbor (UCN2N) is a small non-profit membership-based organization that helps Union County residents stay in their own homes with help from volunteers. It is neighbors helping neighbors. Interested individuals over the age of 18 in Union County, Ohio can join for a small monthly fee and they are matched with vetted and trained volunteers to help with household tasks, errands, outside projects, social visits, transportation and more. These services help individuals age in place and mitigate social isolation.

UCN2N also partners with community agencies and local churches to provide one-time service opportunities. These one-time events allow local seniors to experience neighborly help and decide if an on-going membership makes sense for them.

UCN2N expanded its services in 2019 by offering members and the community increased educational and social events. These additional services include "Member Mondays" and the COAAA sponsored” Healthy U” Workshops. Member Mondays are special events, social gatherings, offers, and benefits offered every Monday intended to enhance the UCN2N Member Experience. The "Healthy U" Workshop is a FREE 6-week workshop open to the community. The focus of the workshop is on managing chronic health conditions in daily life, including both physical and mental health conditions.

UCN2N is funded in part by the United Way of Union County, Union County Senior Services and other individual/organizational donors and grantors in order to keep membership costs low and accessible. For individuals who find the membership fee to be a barrier to joining the program, a scholarship program is in place to reduce the cost.

UCN2N is now apart of the Greater Columbus Network of Villages. For more information on this please go here: Greater Columbus Network of Villages
